Hey everyone, this might sound odd, but a ladybug somehow made its way into my house. I found it near my bed, and since I’m not fond of them, I hit it with my shoe. It’s not alive anymore. I really don’t want more of them showing up. Will other ladybugs follow? Any advice from insect enthusiasts would be appreciated!
Wait, it broke in? Are your doors and windows still okay?

I should probably check! Still a bit unsettled by the whole thing.
It could actually be an Asian beetle looking for shelter since it’s that time of year. They’re invasive and look similar to ladybugs. If it didn’t have a distinct ‘neck’ and had an ‘M’ shape on its head, it was probably an Asian beetle. If it was a true ladybug, it’s better not to harm them. Next time, use a piece of paper or a cup to move it outside if you don’t want to touch it directly. They’re great for the environment.
And hey, maybe consider investing in some bug-proofing. An alarm system for bugs sounds funny but might help keep you relaxed. Stay safe!

Thanks a lot! I’ll look into adding some protection for sure.
