I’ve had my A52 for a while, and I’m thinking about upgrading to the S23. But here’s the thing—I’m not a heavy user. I mostly use my phone for texting, WhatsApp, Telegram, social media scrolling, and a bit of web browsing. I take casual photos too, but nothing serious.
Lately, my A52 has started feeling a bit slow. I’ve got tons of apps and my storage is nearly full (110-120GB used). Could this just be the phone getting old, or does it mean it’s time to upgrade?
I’m not interested in tiny improvements that only show up in tests. I want to know if I’ll notice a big change in everyday use. Will apps open faster? Will photos look noticeably better?
Money’s not the main issue, but I don’t want to spend a lot if it’s just minor improvements.
What do you think? Anyone here moved from the A-series to the S-series? Let me know your real-life experiences!

Thanks! Do you think the A52 felt awkward to hold? I sometimes struggle to find a comfortable grip on mine.
Yeah, after switching to the smaller S23, I realized how clunky the A52 felt. It’s much more comfortable to use now. If you spend long hours on your phone, you’ll probably notice less strain with the S23.
Also, I don’t miss dropping the A52 on my face while using it in bed at night—happened way too often. Just something to think about, haha!
I upgraded from the A53 to the S23, and it’s night and day. Apps load faster, the UI is smoother, and even things like Android Auto are way quicker. It’s a noticeable step up!

The CPU upgrade isn’t the only thing, but you’ll feel a difference in general use.
How would I notice the CPU improvement in everyday stuff?
Sorry, I thought you had the A52s, not the A52. The CPU jump will actually be pretty big. You’ll see apps open faster, and even streaming YouTube will be better since the S23 supports newer tech like AV1 for videos.
I moved from an A53 to the S24 Ultra, and wow, the difference is real. The screen looks amazing, the phone is super smooth, and I love the extra customization options. Plus, knowing I’ll get updates for years is a huge plus.
Honestly, my old phone was starting to slow down, and I didn’t want to spend money fixing it. So, I figured why not just go for something I’d enjoy using every day?
