I had a R7 for a while but didn’t like it and went back to my original Burner 2.0. Seeing my younger brother, who’s much smaller, start to outdrive me really pushed me to make a switch.
It’s incredible how forgiving this driver is. I usually don’t buy into marketing hype, but everything they say about the max model is true.

Glad to hear that!

Absolutely!
Congrats. I switched from the G2 to the G430. Didn’t gain distance but definitely gained accuracy.

Awesome! Looks like I’ll be playing a few indoor rounds this winter for sure.
@Leith
Indoor rounds in winter sound like a dream!
Just ordered the 430 Max 10k for my bag too! Congrats!
I misread that as 14 months and thought, ‘Sounds about right.’
Just found out my King Cobra2 irons are 28 years old. My wife wasn’t impressed when I mentioned it.

Tell her you weren’t even trying. If you were, you’d have mentioned the new irons you already bought.
Every 4 years or so you see a noticeable difference in tech, so this upgrade should feel pretty good.
Ping drivers are tops for forgiveness and they have a distinct sound. They seem to have reduced the backspin over the years, even on the max models. I had a G15 that was super forgiving but the ball stopped dead on the fairway. The newer models don’t have this issue.
@Maverick
Love the ‘menacing noise’ description. The G425 Max sounds like an aluminum bat but it forgives like nothing else.
This is the best driver I’ve ever used. I know there are classics like the Sim 2, but my Ping is outstanding.
You think 14 years is a long time? I just upgraded from a 27-year-old driver!

Nice one!
Welcome to the future!!!
I have the 425 and it’s great. Sounds terrible but it’s fun to shock everyone at the range with the noise.
I swing this driver as hard as I can and it still stays on course, even with a regular flex shaft. It’s incredibly forgiving.
