Has anyone received an update yet? According to their timeline, we were supposed to hear back in June.

Despite being chosen as an HSF scholar, I did not get any scholarship money. The whole application procedure seems pointless. Don’t waste your time; look for scholarships that have funding attached. Statistics regarding the number of chosen scholars who really get a scholarship would be interesting to me. I was picked in June or July, and after waiting six months, I was told I would receive nothing.

I received an award appreciation letter in December of last year. I am not Hispanic, nor did I sign up, but the letter’s conclusion stated that they were out of money and asked me to check back in March or whatever.
I assisted several of my friends in applying, but I never did. My friends received no correspondence or anything at all, so I’m not sure if I was signed up as a joke or anything. But to be honest, I don’t think these are strong candidates for scholarships right now.
