So Toyota’s coming out with the 2025 Grand Highlander, and they’ve got some new trims - the Hybrid Nightshade Edition and LE Grade. Anyone planning to check these out? Seems like they’re going for a mix of style and practicality with these. I’m kind of interested in the Nightshade, but curious what others think.
I’ve been looking at it too! The Nightshade looks pretty sleek with all those blacked-out accents. I just hope the hybrid powertrain gives good mileage like they’re saying.
Yeah, Toyota hybrids are usually good with fuel efficiency. Anyone know what the mpg is supposed to be on this model?
From what I read, it should be pretty decent, especially for a big SUV like the Grand Highlander. Maybe not exact numbers yet but usually hybrids save you a lot on gas.
The LE Grade is what caught my eye. No hybrid, but it’s probably a good option if you want something basic and reliable. Plus, it’s got the Toyota Safety Sense features, which are great for a base model.
Same! I feel like Toyota’s LE trims are solid if you just need a family car that doesn’t have all the extras but is still safe and spacious.
Anyone know if the Nightshade has leather seats or if that’s just for the higher trims?
Yeah, I think it’s leather. They mentioned black upholstery with stitching that gives it a premium look. So probably similar to what they offer on other Nightshade models.
That sounds nice. Leather seats would make the Nightshade even better for road trips and keeping things clean with kids!
I like the fact that they’ve kept it spacious, even with a third row. We’re a big family, so we’re always needing that extra room. Wonder if it’s comfortable enough for adults in the back?
They’re saying it can fit adults in the third row comfortably! Seems like Toyota is making space a priority with this one.
That’s good to know. Not all SUVs with three rows are really adult-friendly back there!
Can someone explain what the Toyota Safety Sense actually includes? I always see it mentioned but IDK what it covers.
It’s got stuff like lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking. Basically, it’s like a safety package that’s supposed to make driving safer, especially on long trips.
Ohh that sounds helpful! Thanks for breaking it down.
