So, I found out my quantitative result is 34, and they told me that’s the confirmative result, not the initial test. The initial one isn’t even included in my report! Apparently, that’s why they flagged me positive. Anyone else experienced this? Not sure if this is common or just my case.
Oh yeah, been there. Usually, they start with a basic screening, then if that shows something, they do a confirmatory test. That 34 you mentioned is probably from that second test.

So is the initial test not accurate or something? The 34 seems pretty specific.
@Mia
Exactly! The first test just flags if there might be something, but the confirmatory test gives the actual amount, which they rely on.
Most labs only show the confirmatory test result because it’s more reliable. The initial test is just a quick check, so they don’t usually include it in reports.

But $250 to see the initial test? That feels like a money grab.
@Bliss
I feel ya! It’s likely just an admin fee, since they don’t see the initial result as important enough to include for free.
Just FYI, the quantitative result (like your 34) applies only to your sample. It’s not mixed in with others or done in batches.

Thanks, that’s good to know. So it’s based only on my own sample?
@Unclewaffl3s
Yep, they test each sample individually, so that number reflects just your results.
Good call on setting up a meeting with a lawyer! Hopefully, they’ll help you with the EEOC situation. Legal stuff can get messy.

Thanks, hoping they can help sort this all out.
