Anyone else here pass their Part 107 test recently?

I’m feeling really good today. Just passed my Part 107 test with a 90%! It took me a week of studying—around 15 hours total. I used YouTube videos, the FAA study guide, and lots of practice tests. Most of the test was on sectional charts, which were pretty straightforward. Luckily, there weren’t any weather questions since I struggled with cloud types during practice.

I’ve submitted my application and am waiting for the temporary certificate. The full one should come in the mail soon. Just wanted to share my excitement here. Anyone else working on this?

If you’re preparing for the Part 107 test, make sure to check the guides available in this forum. They’re super helpful and might answer some of your questions.

Congrats! I’m taking a UAS class in high school, and we’re all taking the Part 107 test for free in about a month. Super excited!

That’s amazing that it’s free for you! Mine cost $175, so I was stressed about the idea of failing. Studying with two toddlers running around wasn’t easy, but it all worked out in the end .

Congrats on passing .

Thank you .

Well done! I just passed mine with an 83%. Lots of sectional charts on my test as well.

I’m studying for mine right now. Any tips or specific things you remember from the test?

Focus on sectional charts and take as many practice tests as you can. That’s what worked best for me.

Do you need to renew it later on?

Yeah, every 24 months.

Yeah, every 24 months.

At least renewal is online now, so no need to visit a testing center. I think it’s free too.

@Owen
I wonder if the renewal test is just as tough as the original?

Two people I know said it’s slightly easier, but you do need to learn about any updated regulations. So, it kind of balances out.

Nice work! I passed mine in August. I didn’t get many weather questions either, mostly sectional charts.

Could you share the videos and study guides you used?

Sure! I used this video: https://youtu.be/6_ucCKFJUCU. There’s also a study guide linked in the video description. I paired it with the FAA study guide.

Fun fact: all the numbers in your comment add up to 69. Good luck with everything!

6 + 62 + 1 = 69.

@Vine
Thanks for the info .

Well done .
