I don’t know if I just got a bad one or if this product isn’t as good as people say.
I won it on an eBay auction for $60, plus tax and shipping. The seller has over 36,000 ratings and a 100% rating, so I thought it would be legit.
It got here in three days, but honestly, I’m disappointed.
First off, it barely moves any dust around my house. Is it supposed to blow air out of the sides? I feel air coming out near the screws and even at the base of the power cord.
I’ve watched tons of videos where other people’s keyboards get completely pressed down by the duster’s nozzle. I have a light mechanical keyboard, and mine barely moved at all.
I have an outdoor air compressor that’s stronger than this. I haven’t even tried it on my PC yet because every part of me feels like this won’t be worth it.
Maybe I got a dud, or maybe this is what it’s supposed to be, but I’m considering a return.
I’ve had mine for years and use it for more than just my PC. I blow out dust from furniture and rugs too. It works fine for me, but yeah, it’s not as strong as an air compressor.

Does yours blow a bit of air off the sides? It feels odd to me.

Do you know what kind of screw it has on the side and the size? Just wondering.
I work at a casino with around 1,200 machines, and we used DataVacs for years until we switched to Makita ones. We went through several DataVacs over time, mainly because of our heavy use. They usually lasted about a year, but we’re cleaning the insides of machines all the time. For home use, I think a DataVac would last many years if you keep the filter clean and don’t overuse it.
