Hello, I would like to know what foldable electric wheelchair anyone could recommend. I would like to have the freedom to not be pushed and tyre out my entire family, and maybe even go on a hike with my boyfriend on accessible paths, so it would need to be able to go over rough terrain but not anything crazy, just over small rocks and gravel and big cracks and such safely.
Pride Jazzy Elite HD is awesome. It folds up nicely and handles small rocks and gravel without a hitch
The majority of folding powerchairs are unstable, and since the makers don’t stock replacement components, a small component breaking renders the chair completely inoperable.
Look at the Action Esprit from Invacare. It folds side to side and is far stronger than the more recent front fold design since it is built on a manual chair frame. Additionally, Invacare offers each spare part separately, allowing for easy repair in the event of a breakage without the need to replace the entire chair. Although it isn’t the cheapest option at first, in the long run, it will cost less than a less expensive, inferior substitute.
