I’m wondering if it’s possible to mount a floating sink directly to drywall without hitting any studs. I know it sounds a bit risky, but I’m curious if anyone has tried it or knows if it would hold up. Thanks.
I wouldn’t recommend it. Drywall alone probably won’t support the weight. You might wanna use some anchors or hit the studs.

Yeah, I agree. I tried something similar and it ended badly, lol. Definitely go for the studs if you can.

What do you mean by anchors? Like special screws or something?
@Shay
Exactly. They’re designed to hold weight in drywall. Just make sure to get the right type for your sink.
I’ve seen some people do it with some heavy-duty wall anchors. It can work, but it feels a bit sketchy to me.

Sketchy is right, lol. I’d be too nervous it would fall off or something. Better safe than sorry.
I think it really depends on the weight of the sink. If it’s super light, maybe it could work? But I wouldn’t risk it.

Yeah, I guess if it’s a small sink, it might hold. But I’d still want it anchored somehow.
I’ve mounted stuff to drywall before and it usually holds, but a sink sounds like a lot of pressure. Be careful.

For sure. A sink’s a whole different ball game. Definitely go for the studs if you can.
