Turned on my computer today and tried to connect my headphones, but the Bluetooth symbol vanished. When I checked my device and printer settings and clicked on the ‘Realtek Bluetooth Adapter’, it said ‘Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)’. Not really a tech person, so I have no clue how to fix this. The Bluetooth was working just fine the night before, and I haven’t downloaded anything new.
Try shutting down for about 30 minutes. That fixes some odd Bluetooth or Wi-Fi issues lately.
What do you mean by odd issues? Is it common for Bluetooth to just stop working?
Yeah, it happens sometimes. It’s usually just a glitch. A restart or a longer shutdown can help reset things.
Code 43 usually means there’s a driver issue. Have you tried updating the Bluetooth driver?
How do I update the driver? I’m not very tech-savvy.
You can go to Device Manager, find the Bluetooth section, right-click on your adapter, and select ‘Update Driver’.
Sometimes, Bluetooth devices just need to be re-paired. Try removing your headphones and reconnecting them.
