You know, it frustrates me when someone creates something cool and someone else asks, why?
But looking at this, I’m blinking.
WHY?!
I don’t know, this seems pretty clear to me. Just ‘Because.’

For fun. I do many things just for fun. Some urges need to be satisfied.
This is truly amazing.
This is a bit surreal. My mind thinks this is VB6 but also feels off. Missing a few things I’d expect in actual VB6, like syntax highlighting and perhaps manual code completion with ctrl spacebar. But the graphics are stunning and brought back a wave of nostalgia when I opened it.
Fantastic work!
I learned programming in VBA with Excel 97 and later in VB6.
It looks like there are large sections of GDI implemented as well?
This is outstanding. Great job!
This is cool, I abandoned VB when .NET came out. It felt like VB.NET received a less favorable treatment.
I might dig up my old code and see how it performs.
I was excited to try this, but I realized it isn’t fully featured yet. I couldn’t add a module or class to the project.
This looks interesting, I’ll give it a go later.
But I assume it won’t work for projects using third-party controls?

It doesn’t, BUT it’s technically possible to add support for it. However, it would likely be limited to 32-bit Windows (not sure about 64-bit with OCX).
In Avalonia, you can integrate native controls, and the VB code is interpreted, so it’s possible.
I’m on ARM so I probably won’t get into this ;(

Just avoid third-party controls and you’re good.
Yes, but why would anyone do this?

Why not?
