Hey everyone, I’ve been experiencing harassment at work after requesting ADA accommodations. My lawyer advised me to write a formal letter to address the issue. I’ve written it, and I’m wondering if it sounds good. I detailed the harassment, listed specific dates, and asked for an investigation. Any suggestions to improve it?
Your letter seems well-written! Just make sure you clearly state what accommodations you asked for so there’s no confusion.

Good point! I’ll add in more specifics about the accommodations. Thanks!
Maybe include something like ‘This letter serves as a formal ADA complaint’ to give it more legal weight.

That’s a great suggestion! I’ll definitely add that to make it more official.
It might also help to set a deadline for when you expect a response, like 10 business days.

Yeah, that’s a good idea. I’ll put in a timeframe so they know I expect a quick response.
Don’t forget to keep a copy of the letter and any responses for your records. Always good to have that in case things escalate.

I’ve been keeping track of everything! Hopefully, it won’t need to go further, but I’ll be prepared just in case.
I think your tone is perfect—assertive but not too confrontational. It should get their attention without sounding too harsh.

Thanks! I was trying to strike that balance. Fingers crossed it works!
