Going out for golf with my dad today… anyone else?

Feeling really excited about it. Just wanted to share. Hope it’s a good day out there!

Have a great time. I’d give anything to play just one more round with my dad.

My dad had to stop playing about 20 years before he passed because of back issues. But he would still text me, asking how my game was going or cheering me on from afar. I’d give anything just to get one more of those messages.

This right here. Reminds me how much I appreciate my dad. Really hope he sticks around long enough to see me grow older.

Time has a funny way of moving along. I’ve found a bit of peace in knowing that all these moments we share, whether big or small, are really what stay with us. It may hurt to look back, but it also brings a kind of happiness knowing we made those memories.

@Zara
Thanks for saying that. I’m 31, and my dad is 68. Trying to soak in the moments we get, even if it’s just him calling about something random. Those calls will mean everything one day, I know.

Absolutely. The quality of the time you spend together matters more than the quantity. It’s better to enjoy it when you can rather than feeling pressured to see each other constantly.

I’m around your age and felt the same way. I always thought I’d have time to get closer with my dad as he aged, but he passed unexpectedly a few months ago. Don’t miss the small moments.

@Zara
Trying to get my dad, who’s 80, to just come out and putt with me. It’s been a long time since he’s played, but he’s still a good 80!

I feel that, too.

@Ty
That’s awesome! Nice to see something like that.

@Ty
Love it!

@Ty
Looks great!

Got into golf years ago and wish I’d picked it up sooner. I still use my dad’s clubs after he passed.

Couldn’t agree more.

Exactly the same here.

What I wouldn’t give to play one last round with my dad.

Show him who’s boss on the green!

Sounds like an amazing time. I never got to play with my dad, but I always go out with my 12-year-old son now.

Thank you! I’m in my 30s, so every round we get to play together is extra special.
