In the last few days, has anyone else been getting way more ads? Like every 2 or 3 minutes during videos, no matter how long the video is. Before, there used to be ads at the start and end of a video, and maybe one in the middle if it was a long video.
Now, there’s also this new thing where the screen fades to black before the ad instead of just cutting to it.
Is this happening to anyone else, or just me?
Yeah, I’ve noticed it too. I also read that YouTube might start showing ads when you pause a video… Ridiculous.

Bro, just use ReVanced. If they’re gonna push ads this hard, we should start using alternatives.
One time, I sat through a long ad, and when it finished, it loaded another ad that worked like a normal video. After it ended, I could replay it, but there wasn’t an option to go back to the original video. I’ve even gotten 4 ads in a row before, and the second one was over 5 minutes long. Then it added 2 more ads after that.
They’re even putting pop-up ads on shorts now that cover a big chunk of the screen. So annoying.
I stopped using YouTube when they introduced premium because the ads increased so much. Plus, all the videos are now just over 10 minutes long to fit more ads. I check in now and then, but only to see that the creators I used to watch are up to no good.
For me, the ads haven’t really changed.
