Has anyone ever gone to Bobby Mackey's Music World?

I almost booked a tour there once but got too scared and backed out.

I used to live nearby for a bit and was surprised how close it was to Cincinnati. Drove past it on my way to work one morning. It has a dark, heavy vibe, but that could just be the building’s age. Still, it’s a cool place to check out.

Bobby Mackey’s is a wild place. I’ve got stories for days from that place. Totally worth a visit.

I live about 90 minutes away and went last September. It was a blast—cheap drinks, great people, and just an all-around fun time. No paranormal activity for me. I even went to the infamous men’s bathroom where Nick freaked out, but still, nothing. The best part was watching Bobby Mackey perform Johanna. I’m also not far from Anderson Hotel and Rocky Point Manor, both spooky places.

I went there years ago for a bachelor party, and yeah, it was a strange place. The upstairs bar was quiet and cozy, but the basement had this energy. Even if you don’t see anything paranormal, you can feel something lingering. There was this smell of sulfur in the bathroom by the well, which is supposed to be a sign of evil spirits. One of my friends was messing around in the well room, saying something like ‘Come on, show me something!’ Not a minute later, the lights flickered, and he swore he felt a cold touch on his neck. He refused to go back down there for the rest of the night.

I visited Bobby Mackey’s for the ghost tours and didn’t feel or see much, but I loved the honky-tonk vibe. I was more focused on the music and people there. The ghost stuff added a cool layer, but the live music made it really enjoyable. They have a few great local bands that play regularly, and it feels like you’re stepping back in time when you’re there.
