TLDR: I built a new PC yesterday, and after playing some games (Valorant, Warframe) for about 10-30 minutes, my monitor black screens. The CPU and GPU fans stop, but the RAM RGB lights stay on. I can’t restart the PC with the power button and have to turn the PSU off and on. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x, MSI PRO B550M-VC WIFI, G.Skill 32 GB RAM, Kingston NV2 1 TB, Asus RX 7800XT, EVGA 600 W PSU. I’ve ruled out overheating, but I’m at a loss for what’s causing this. Any ideas?
It sounds like you might be having power delivery issues. Sometimes PSUs can be faulty even if they’re within spec. Have you tried a different PSU?
I had a similar issue with my build. It turned out to be a RAM issue. Try running your system with just one stick of RAM and see if that helps.
95 degrees on the CPU is really high! That could definitely cause issues. Make sure your cooler is properly seated and consider reapplying thermal paste.
Also, check your BIOS settings. Sometimes power settings can be set incorrectly, which might cause instability under load.
Have you tried monitoring your system voltages while under load? If the voltages are dropping too low, it could indicate a PSU issue.
