How much should I offer for this truck? Owner wants 23000 but it’s a 2014 1794 edition with a 5.7L V8 4x4 clean title and 165000 miles. He’s the second owner and has taken good care of it. He won’t go lower than 23000… is it a fair price?

Looking for advice on whether I should pay this much for the truck.

Truck

I think 19000 is fair, just like someone mentioned in the other thread you made.

You’ve been asking for five days. Just go ahead and buy it. It’s your money after all.

Wow, seriously man.

Just a heads up, you might face some maintenance issues at that mileage unless the owner can show proof of what’s already been done. Don’t forget to ask about the Secondary Air pump… that’s an important one. Good luck!

@Vega
I think the SAIP issue was fixed around 2010 or 2011. You should also check the water pump, A/C compressor, starter, and transfer case actuators.

I had problems with mine in 2012, but mine was a 4.6.

@Toryn
How did you know it was failing? I have a 2013 with a 4.6L.

Check engine light and it wouldn’t drive right.

Dude, this must be your third post about it. I still say 19000.

Seems a bit high for the mileage in my opinion, but it is a nice truck. I paid 25000 for a 2011 model with 60000 miles a couple of years back.

Yeah, mine has 230000 miles and I’d drive it anywhere.

While it might be worth that to you, it’s probably not worth that much to anyone else. Don’t let the idea of driving it around trick you into paying too much. The seller is hoping you’ll feel pressured to pay their price.

Used truck prices can’t stay this high forever. Don’t finance something like this. You don’t want to see it drop to 10000 in three years.

I’d offer 20000 for it.

If he has taken care of it well… then maybe.

The person who posted this and their whole comment history seems to be just about similar posts. I doubt it’s serious.

If he has service records and everything looks good, I’d say go for it.

I’d buy it. The age matters more than the miles.
