So I deleted my screenshot folder and didn’t think anything bad would happen, but now my screenshots just go nowhere. I already tried making a folder with the same name and a couple of other things I saw people tell me to do, but nothing worked. Does anyone know what I can do to bring it back?
Go to File Explorer and in the address bar enter: shell:screenshots. It’s possible that Windows has recreated the screenshots folder somewhere you didn’t expect. This will take you there no matter where it is.
Thanks a lot! This worked.
Stop using the drive, or use as little as possible. Something like EaseUS Free Data Recovery Software for PC should work.
Deleting a folder also deletes the contents. It is technically possible to recover, but no guarantee. What platform are you on? Android, iOS, Windows, MacOS… What application are you using to take the screenshots?
I use Windows, and when I screenshot, I just do Windows key + Shift + S.
Have you tried restoring it from your recycle bin?
If you do a lot of screenshots, I recommend using a dedicated utility for it. There are a few highly recommended ones, but the one I like most is called ‘Greenshot.’ You can customize where captures are saved in its settings.
