I need help with my audio

Hi, so I decided to do some optimizations but then got carried away and tried overclocking my RAM. That went wrong, so I had to remove my CMOS battery and restart BIOS. After doing this and booting it up, everything worked except for my headphones, which usually show up as Realtek 2nd audio output or something. Now when I plug them in, nothing shows up, and in Device Manager, Realtek only shows if I go to view hidden devices. I’ve tried installing drivers again, and it didn’t work. I system restored, and it didn’t work. Note: I did this add legacy hardware thing and got a blue screen.

It’s likely disabled in the BIOS unexpectedly.

Where would it be specifically if you know? I got MSI BIOS.

I don’t know.

If you can get into Windows normally or through Safe Mode, check C:\Windows\Minidump for any dump files from the BSOD. You might want to upload them for analysis.

Have you tried resetting the BIOS settings to default? Sometimes that can fix audio issues.

I haven’t tried that yet. I’ll look into it.

Make sure the audio output is set correctly in the sound settings. Sometimes it switches back to default output.

Good call! I’ll check that out.

If all else fails, you might need to reinstall the audio drivers completely.

I might try that too. Thanks for the tip!
