How long has it taken for others? Has anyone been accepted into the iOS 18.1 Public Beta yet?
I’m talking specifically about the public beta, not the developer one.

Same here - public beta, I got in almost right after I clicked to join.
But honestly, I don’t even know what’s new besides the cleanup feature in Photos.

You’ve got the new Siri animations, writing tools, cleanup, and some message effects. We’re still waiting on ChatGPT stuff and other AI features that were promised for later. Fingers crossed for those!

I think I’m on the dev beta, but I joined today. I was just waiting for it to be stable enough to go public lol.

I was on the developer one but switched to public. Took about 10 minutes after that and it was available.
I’m on the public beta for 18.1 and didn’t wait at all. Got the waitlist pop-up, but was able to download the update right after.
Just downloaded the public beta on my 16p and joined the waitlist. I’ll update once I’m in - it’s been a few minutes.
Edit: 30 minutes later, I’m in.

Is yours as buggy as mine? Crashed 3 times in 10 minutes. Calls not working with AirPods either.

Still on the waitlist 5 hours later.
Took about 5 minutes for me yesterday. The download was like 10-12 minutes.
How is it running on your phone? Is it draining battery? Running smoothly?

I installed it 14 hours ago, and I’m still waiting.
