Is sous vide tri-tip the ultimate way to cook tri-tip? Cooking tri-tip sous vide style is simply the best! Tri-tip, one of our top beef cuts, really shines with sous vide. Although it can be tough due to extra connective tissue, slow-cooking it at 132°F for 3 hours results in incredibly tender and juicy beef that’s hard to surpass.

If it wasn’t so pricey! A single steak is currently $35. It feels like I’m turning into an old man reminiscing, “back in my day, a tri-tip only cost $10.”

Beef prices have skyrocketed! You’re definitely not alone in noticing that.

A bit late to the discussion, but if you have a Costco Wholesale nearby, they consistently offer high-quality tri-tip for $5.49 per pound. Costco Wholesale operates like a restaurant supplier but is open to anyone with a membership.

I agree! I once bought a flank steak because it fit my budget, and I discovered that with enough cooking time, they can become tender just like a regular steak, which was a pleasant surprise.
