As someone looking for a data analyst job for the last 3 months, I can say web development has a lot of job openings, no matter the location. Man, I should’ve learned web dev instead.
That’s wild!

Try using an AI tool to build web pages. It’s not great at it. Developers will still have jobs with AI as a tool to help them, not replace them. It’s like when computers replaced typewriters. Only the people who didn’t learn how to use computers lost their jobs.
Automation tools didn’t take away all testing jobs either; people who knew manual testing adapted.
Also, have you ever tried dealing with a machine when something’s wrong? Customers prefer yelling at a human if something’s off with a button or design. That’s why devs aren’t going anywhere, at least not until AI can handle full client requests perfectly.

Thanks for this, makes a lot of sense!
What do you mean by ‘valid’? Web dev isn’t as profitable as it once was, but maybe you should look into finance instead.

Can you give some examples of jobs and skills in finance? I’m just starting out.
Don’t just rely on AI tools. You still need solid web dev skills. In the end, it’s the value you bring to the company that matters. Even if AI takes over web dev jobs in 10 years, many other jobs will also change. Just focus on what you enjoy and the skills you develop.
It’s not about whether it’s ‘valid.’ There are still jobs for things like PHP and Angular too. Just get really good at something, and you’ll find work.
It’s all about how strong your skills are. AI is moving fast, so stop watching tutorials and start working on real projects. Solve actual problems.
If you love it and you’re good at it, keep going. Just don’t do it just because everyone else is.
It’s better to learn multiple things like Flutter or Unity3D. And definitely see how you can use AI to speed up your work. Don’t limit yourself to just web, explore mobile, smartwatches, and AR/VR too. But if you want to specialize, make sure you’re the best in that area!
There are so many posts about AI taking over. You’ll find tons of answers to your question already here. Why ask again?

Sorry, I didn’t know.
Don’t worry about AI. Use it to learn faster. Just focus on the basics. Finish React quickly, then move on to APIs, security, deployment.
