Looks like Kyle Walker’s time at Manchester City might be coming to an end. At 34, injuries have been holding him back this season, and now City’s looking for a replacement. Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen is said to be the top pick. The guy’s 23, super fast, good going forward and solid defensively. Would be a smart move for City to bring him in, right? What do you all think?
Frimpong would be a great pick. Young, talented, and fits Guardiola’s style perfectly. Walker’s been amazing, but it’s time for that transition.
Walker’s contract runs until 2026, right? So, I guess this move might be more of a future planning thing for City.
I wonder if this move means Walker will go back to playing in a lower league or maybe even retire soon. His legacy at City is huge.
If Frimpong does join, I’m curious how he’ll adapt to Pep’s tactics. It’s a big shift from the Bundesliga to the Prem.
Walker’s been a big part of the squad for years. It’s gonna be weird seeing City without him as a mainstay.
