My last day at work is October 8, but the payroll schedule has checks set for October 15 and October 31. Does that mean I’ll get both, or just one for my final pay? Anyone know how this works?
You should get two separate checks – one for the pay period up to Sept 30 and then another for Oct 1-8.

That’s helpful! So Oct 15 covers Sept 16-30, and Oct 31 covers my last few days?
@Tatum
Exactly. Most places stick to the regular payday for the final pay period.
Sometimes companies just combine it all in the next check. It might depend on their policy.

Yeah, I asked, and they said it’ll follow the usual schedule. Guess I’m good for both then.
@Tatum
Sounds like it. You should be getting paid on both dates as planned.
In some places, they’re required to pay by the next payday after you leave. So two checks sounds right.

Good to know it’s required! Just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
When I quit, I got my last paycheck as normal on the next payday. You should be covered for both pay dates.

Awesome, glad to hear it worked out that way for you. Fingers crossed!
Since you’re salaried, they usually keep things on the normal pay schedule. You should be all set for both dates.

Makes sense! I’m salaried, so that lines up with what they told me. Thanks!
