Let’s talk double strollers… what do you use?

Looking for recommendations on double strollers. I’m leaning toward front/back convertible types rather than side-by-side. What do you all think? Pros and cons? Let me know your experiences.

I think it depends on how old your kids are and what you plan to use it for. Side-by-side might be great for outdoors, but front/back is easier in tight spaces like stores.

Good point. I’ve got a toddler and a baby, so space might be an issue sometimes.

I’ve got the Mockingbird double, but my 3-year-old ends up in the basket underneath because the seats aren’t super comfy for older kids.

How old are your kids? We skipped the double stroller and got a Joovy Sit N Stand instead. It’s been a lifesaver for places like the zoo; one kid can sit and the other can hop on and off easily. Might be worth looking into if you haven’t already.

I’ve got the Mockingbird single-to-double, and I love it. It’s like the UPPAbaby but much cheaper.

Same here. Couldn’t be happier with it.

We tried both and ended up preferring side-by-side. The front/back made it hard to keep track of both kids, and they like to interact with each other. We use the Maclaren Twin, which fits through most doors.

If you shop a lot, front/back strollers are great for fitting through doors and aisles. I use one for grocery runs, but converting it for different ages is tricky. Once you figure it out, though, it’s so handy.

Front/back all the way. Side-by-sides don’t fit through doors, and separating a napping baby from an energetic toddler is impossible in them.

We’ve got the UPPAbaby Vista with a toddler seat and infant car seat. Planning to add another toddler seat later. It’s been amazing for us.

Instead of a double stroller, we got a Veer wagon. It’s got a car seat attachment and fits two kids sitting. It’s super versatile; you can push or pull it. Our toddler loves it.

Side-by-side for us. It’s easier to maneuver outdoors. Front/back felt like driving a tank. We switched to a lightweight umbrella-style side-by-side when our kids got older, and it’s great for shopping too.

We went with a Graco because it worked with our car seat and was affordable. Heads up: side-by-sides don’t always fit through doors or elevators.

Mountain Buggy Duet here. Love it for countryside walks; it fits narrow paths and doors perfectly.

Thule double jogger all the way. Weight limit is 50 pounds per side, and it’s surprisingly door-friendly. Great for all terrains.

Wow, 50 pounds per side is awesome. That stroller sounds super durable.

I just got a used City Select Lux and took it to a theme park. My kids loved it! Downside? Folding it is a hassle. But it’s compact when stored, so it’s a tradeoff.

We’ve got a Contours Curve tandem stroller and a jogger-style side-by-side. Both are great, but the tandem is better for keeping the kids separate when needed.

Veer Wagon is a game-changer for us. It’s pricey but handles any terrain, fits all the gear, and the kids love it.
