Light Work... How Did You Get That Reflection?

I added a small light to my drone and flew it low over a small lake to get the reflection on the water. The shot turned out pretty cool. What do you think?

Are you pulling the strobe out in post or did you mount it so it doesn’t show in the image? I’d like to try something similar. This is an awesome shot by the way.

Long exposure. Very long .

@Haru
Thanks. I get the long exposure part. My question was a bit different though.

Actually, looking closer, the reflection seems like it was added in post. Reflections don’t usually get cropped like that, haha.

@Haru
Yeah, they definitely look cropped .

@Haru
I see what you mean… it does cut off pretty abruptly. Still, cool shot .

I thought I was answering the wrong question, haha. Sorry about that. So, where’s the strobe in this shot? You mean the nighttime identifier light we need on the drone? A continuous light works too if it’s bright enough to be seen from a distance (depends on the country). OP didn’t have a strobe on. It would be tough to remove in post and keep the reflections. What do you think, OP?

Sorry, I thought I was answering the wrong question earlier. So, where’s the strobe in this shot? You mean the nighttime identifier light on the drone? A continuous light works as long as it’s bright enough to be seen from far away. OP didn’t have a strobe on, and it would be hard to remove it in post without affecting the reflections. OP, what do you think?

@Haru
Thanks! Yeah, that’s the question. I think it could be removed, but it would take some work (at least here in the States, where it has to flash). I was just curious about how you did it.

Post this on this forum and say you recorded it in NJ…

That looks really cool…

Bejio

What if you programmed it to make shapes?

That’s cool!

Do you have a full resolution 16:9 and vertical image?
