Listed my DJI Inspire 2 on fb marketplace… only getting scam offers… where else should I try?

I put my DJI Inspire 2 on Facebook Marketplace, but so far, I’ve only gotten scammy messages. Anyone know better places to sell it?

You didn’t list a price for the whole kit, but if you add up the parts you posted, it’s about $5k. That’s way too high if you’re looking for serious buyers.

What price are you asking?

Where are you located?

You could try Nextdoor, Kijiji, or Craigslist. They’re not great, but they’re okay options.

How much are you asking? I’m in Detroit too.

It’s an older drone, and newer ones are way cheaper with similar capabilities. Price it to match the market. When I sold my Inspire 1, I barely got enough to cover the batteries I had bought. Tech like this doesn’t hold value well.

@Rory
If you’re doing this as a business, you could write off the depreciation on your taxes.

@Rory
True, but there’s not much out there cheaper than a fairly priced Inspire 2 with the X7 camera and licenses for RAW and ProRes. If he’s asking $5k, though, it better come with more than what’s in the photos. That DL-S lens kit is valuable since those lenses work on newer DJI setups too.

Not sure about other marketplaces near Detroit, but that Samsung logo in the corner of your listing pic is distracting. Good luck selling the drone.

eBay is your best bet. It’s easy to use and safe for selling.

Easy? Not really. If you’re an established seller with good reviews, then yes. But selling something pricey like a drone without a sales history isn’t easy. It’s possible, but definitely not simple.

Tried finding an apartment on Facebook Marketplace… same deal. Scammers everywhere. Why do people even bother with it?

Honestly, I’ve had better luck selling stuff there than on OfferUp.

@Milo
Fair point. But I ended up talking to someone who wanted me to ship an item to Africa.

Sounds like a totally legit buyer.

That drone might be old, but it’s reliable. If I were you, I’d just keep it.
