This is about Bean, my fat and fluffy ragdoll cat. He just ate some dental wax (the stuff you stick on braces to stop them from scratching), not gum. I’m a little tipsy, but I’m worried about him because he’s really cute and fat and soft.
Give him a little pumpkin—it’s a good source of fiber and helps with digestion. Mr. Bean will probably poop it out faster and feel fine. Scritchy-scratches for the handsome boy!

If you meant dental gum and it contains xylitol, call a vet immediately. Xylitol is very toxic to cats.
If it was dental wax, just monitor Bean closely. If you see vomiting, constipation, or loss of appetite, take him to the vet. Otherwise, he’ll probably poop it out!

Dental wax is usually harmless if small amounts are ingested, but keep an eye on him. Any signs of distress—vomiting, lethargy, or constipation—call your vet ASAP. Source: I work in a vet clinic.
Bean will probably be fine—just a little dumb and a little cute. Keep an eye out for weird poops though.

Mood. This is exactly how I feel about my boyfriend.
A quick call to your vet won’t hurt, just for peace of mind! Bean is adorable and sounds like he’ll just poop it out, but blockages are always a small risk.
He’ll be fine—just a fluffy little idiot. Give him some extra cuddles.
