My Chromebook keeps casting to other people’s TVs in the dorm

I just moved into the dorms, and my Chromebook keeps randomly casting to other people’s TVs. It’s super annoying. How do I turn this off?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

But seriously, I’ve never heard of this happening. Maybe try a factory reset?

Isn’t that how Chromecast works? I don’t think you can turn that feature off.

Yeah, it’s supposed to ask for permission, but sometimes it doesn’t notify the devices like it should. Kinda makes you think, huh?

I had the opposite problem where my TV wouldn’t stop broadcasting audio controls. Didn’t even need to be notified.

My parents were watching a baseball game and the sound kept pausing, and I could hear my mom yelling from across the house. I was dying laughing.

Eventually, I told them what was going on, and after a couple of days, it finally stopped.
