My dog has a life I don’t understand

Omg! He definitely has another family or Shay. I would try to find out that is so so cute.

Typo. I meant he or she I wasn’t sure if you said your dog was here or she sorry.

Cute. Track him, AirTag or such like.

Track him down, maybe a camera, gps or something like the Apple’s airtag.

I questioned if this was real the entire time I was reading it and the “hope u liked the story guys!” at the end has me even more confused now.

“He’s the best thing to ever happen to you.” but you let him roam.

Or maybe close the gap in your fence.

i too am concerned about him getting hit by a car But you two belong to each other and you have to trust your judgement. i love the idea of a note on his collar… if he has another family, why not share the fun p.s. i am super impressed by your desire to allow max to have his special time. But i think you owe him knowing where he goes to be sure he is safe. you two take care of each other!!!

Max is actually the neighbor’s dog who is moonlighting as your dog.

I want to emphasize the leash law. Amusing as it sounds, a GoPro isn’t going to save your dog if it gets hit by a car, gets stolen for dog fight bait, or he bites someone or another pet. Grab a long leash, give it some slack and see if he leads you anywhere. Our childhood dog was VERY well trained. Every day, twice a day, for 5 years, he went out into the enormous vacant area next door to explore and do his business. Every day, twice a day, he came back. Except when he didn’t. The 1st time it cost my brother a heavy leash law fine. The 2nd time, we think he was “stolen” and dumped because the pound found him 15 miles away. (Another heavier fine). The 3rd, a broken hip after being hit by a car.

Put a GPS tracker on his collar and see where he goes if you are really curious.

Put a note into a plastic bag and attach it to his collar with a twist tie. Ask whoever finds it to write back because you’re going crazy trying to figure out where he gets to.

Camera on his collar

Sounds dangerous to him that you let him roam like this. But if you’re going to continue, attach a note to his collar. It might give you your answer.

You seem a bit entitled. I don’t think Mac is unwarranted of his judgy judgement of you. You seem overly needy and too involved actually. Be happy Mac still allows you to continue your residence and get therapy to find out why you want to be overly involved in his life, he’s a grown man for dogs sake!

This feels like a chat gpt story

It’s sweet he has a good life, but what a shame if he’s hit by a car and you don’t know where, or someone mistreats him, or he eats something poisoned, or animal control picks him up, or he’s attacked by another dog. I’d fix the fence. Walk him in the direction he ran. Maybe you’ll meet his other family (on leash)
