I can’t find any info on this app, and my mom found it through a man online. She says she’s already made a $300 profit, but I don’t believe it. When I tried to withdraw the money, it said you can only take it out in some kind of coin and gave me a QR code. Scanning it just led me to a random code on Google: 0xee03013a4acb27467c4b8378e50a07ef0fb45da5. I’m sure it’s a scam, but my mom doesn’t believe me and thinks this guy will give her $20,000. She’s even accused me of not supporting her. I’m at a loss on what to do.

The !crypto bot has good info. Be on the lookout for recovery scammers too.

Hi /u/vikicrays, AutoModerator here to explain the recovery scam.

Recovery scams target previous scam victims, often pretending to be recovery agents or law enforcement, offering to help recover lost funds for a fee. This is just an advance-fee scam, and no money is recovered. Report to law enforcement, and never engage with recovery scammers.

If you can’t easily find the exchange online, it’s fake! Google ‘exchange name review reddit’ to see if it’s legitimate. Or try ‘exchange name scam reddit.’
