My router was just replaced... now my laptop can't connect to my TV

I’ve always been able to wirelessly connect my laptop to my TV. My landlady had the ISP replace the router today. Now, the laptop can’t find the TV on the list of available devices. Both devices are able to connect to the internet, and they are on the same network. I can still connect my phone to the TV too. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Client isolation could be causing the issue.

Maybe one is connected to the 5GHz band and the other to 2.4GHz? I’m not sure if devices on different bands can communicate.

:point_up:This is what I was going to say.

Likely a UPnP related issue. The new router probably doesn’t have it enabled while the old one did.

Is the laptop connected to a VPN? Some devices don’t like that.

If I were you, I would disable the Wi-Fi broadcast of that new router and buy a new router. Connect the patch cable to the new router you bought and forget about that issue.
