Hey everyone! A few days ago, my SN750 NVMe M2 drive started acting up while I was gaming—crashing when switching areas, and Steam reported hundreds of errors when I verified file integrity. Then, my drive completely vanished from the system. I thought it was dead and was ready to buy a replacement for Black Friday. But today, it magically reappeared! I ran some checks and everything came back fine. So now I’m wondering if I’m nuts for thinking it might still be faulty. Any advice?
It might have been improperly seated. Sometimes a little bump can dislodge it. I wouldn’t take chances though; back up whatever you can!
Good point! I’ve been using it for two years without issue, but I’m still leaning towards getting a replacement soon.
Honestly, if it went missing once, I’d be wary. Drives can be flaky, and it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Yeah, I hear you. I’m thinking of getting a new one in a few weeks just to be safe.
I had something similar happen. My drive acted up and then came back. I ended up losing trust in it and moved my important files off.
That’s a solid plan. I’ll definitely start backing things up more regularly!
Maybe run a thorough diagnostic tool? Just to be extra cautious before you decide what to do.
I’ll give that a shot! Better safe than sorry, right?
If you’re gaming a lot, I’d definitely get a reliable backup. Drives can fail without warning.
Thanks for the advice! I’ll keep an eye out for a good deal on a replacement.
