I’m dealing with a bit of a situation here. I need advice from an Educational Attorney regarding an ADA-approved Board exam that’s supposed to be paper/written. On the day of my exam, I found out it was being handled differently than what Pearson Vue had told me earlier. I’ve asked both the Board and Pearson Vue for their official policies, but they’re not providing anything. How do I get the correct info on how the written pharmacy exam should be done and graded? Any help would be great, thanks!
Ugh, that sounds so frustrating! If they’re not giving you the info you need, maybe try sending a formal written request? That way you have a record of your attempts. I had to do something similar once when they wouldn’t budge.
@Vail
Yeah, sending it in writing is a good idea. I’ll try doing that and keep a copy. Thanks for the suggestion!
@Vail
No problem! It can be a pain, but hopefully, you get some answers this way.
Pearson Vue is a bit of a headache to deal with sometimes. It’s important to know your ADA rights and make sure they don’t mess up the exam process. I would also try to contact a local lawyer to review the situation if you’re still stuck.
@Shawn
Good point. Knowing your rights is key. Have you checked with any local legal aid services? They might help you navigate things.
@Shawn
That’s a great idea. Legal aid services can be really helpful if you’re having trouble finding someone who’ll take your case.
This sounds like a mess! If you haven’t yet, try contacting the ADA National Network for guidance. They might have more specific advice on how to handle these types of issues.

I’ll give that a try, thanks! I didn’t think of reaching out to them. Hopefully, they can help clarify things.
I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. It sounds like the Board is being difficult. Try to keep track of every communication you have with them. If it gets worse, you could consider filing a formal complaint with the Department of Justice for ADA violations.
@Keats
That’s a good idea, especially if they continue to ignore your requests. At least having everything documented could work in your favor later.
I’ve heard similar stories where Pearson Vue doesn’t give clear answers. Keep pushing them for answers, and definitely keep track of all the info. Having proof can help if it goes to court.

Yeah, documentation is key here. It could make all the difference if you end up needing to take legal action.
