I just moved into a new place and got the internet set up. All my devices connect to the Wi-Fi just fine, but I’m having a weird problem with my laptop. When it’s unplugged, it connects without a hitch. But when I plug it in to charge, it says ‘No internet, Secured.’ The connection to the router is strong, but no web pages load. If I hotspot off my phone, it works perfectly even when charging. I’m stumped as to why this happens on my home network. Any thoughts or advice would be super helpful!
You might want to check for Windows updates to make sure everything’s patched up! What kind of laptop are you using?
It’s an ASUS Zephyrus G14. I looked through Armoury Crate for any network-related settings but didn’t see anything.
Ah, nice! I have an ASUS Zephyrus G15 and faced some weird issues too. Updating the software really helped me.
This sounds odd! Have you tried changing your Wi-Fi power settings to maximum performance? It might help!
I haven’t tried that yet. How do I change those settings?
Go into your power options and set the wireless adapter to ‘Maximum Performance’ when on battery. Should do the trick!
I ran into something similar! In Armoury Crate, there’s an option to update drivers directly. Maybe give that a shot.
Thanks! I’ll check for driver updates in there. Fingers crossed that works.
Weird issue for sure! Sometimes just restarting the router can clear up odd connectivity problems.
Good idea! I’ll try that too. Thanks for the tip!
If you’re still having trouble, here’s a link to the Wi-Fi drivers. Might be worth checking out just in case.
Awesome, thanks! I’ll look into it. Appreciate all the help!
