Recommendations for Video Hosting Platforms (Other than YouTube)?

We’re a small team looking for a reliable video hosting service for our site. The website will be the main hub for our work, and the content will be accessible only to members. We’re keeping expenses as low as possible, so any platform that integrates smoothly and doesn’t break the bank would be ideal. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Edit: We’re currently trialing Switcher, which seems promising. Appreciate the help so far!

Vimeo is popular among EdTech and has good integration options. Our video-heavy company uses it with great results.

Vimeo is worth a look. They have subscription tiers for various hosting needs. Solid choice, in my opinion.

Same for Panopto.

Forgot to mention, we’re also considering adding live streams down the line. Thanks for the suggestions so far—trying out Switcher currently.

OBS is a free, open-source option. Might be worth considering if costs are a big factor.

@Hero
What you save with OBS, you might lose in setup time. Just a heads-up!

Uscreen, Switcher Studio, and maybe Kajabi are good for live streaming. Each has a trial option, so you can test them out and see what works best.

Thanks for the recommendations!

Eduvision by JDL Horizons is a good option, especially for schools. Lots of access control features and great API integration. https://jdlhorizons.com

Know someone technical? I’m working on an open-source project (Superstreamer) running on Cloudflare R2, costing only a few bucks.

Are you using it for corporate or educational purposes? Approximate number of videos, bandwidth needs, and if membership requires different levels of access could help narrow down suggestions.

Streamyard has been great for me!

Mux is a good choice, suitable for both developers and non-tech folks.
