Anyone else fed up with Scotiabank? I need a bank that’s reliable when it comes to tech. Are all banks like this, or is there a better option?

Scotiabank’s been outsourcing a lot. No wonder the quality is dropping with contractors handling critical stuff.

Ever since they started thinking they were a tech company instead of just a bank, things have gone downhill. Just keep it simple!

They underpay their engineers. I worked for a bank, left, and now make way more. You get what you pay for.

Things didn’t break this often years back. The vibe at Scotia has totally changed over the last decade.

Yep, pay elsewhere skyrocketed, and skilled developers moved on.
Developers used to get paid the same.
Now $100k is ‘meh’ for developers, especially after remote jobs flooded in.

You can pull over 200k now, but it’s definitely above average.
For anyone who hasn’t heard, Scotiabank’s been a mess since the 8th. I’m switching out too; already moved my money to Wealthsimple.

Most pre-authorized debits shouldn’t be affected by the outage. I don’t work for Scotia, but it’s similar with other banks.
