The car has been sitting for a while. I haven’t driven it much, and now I’m starting to wonder if it’s worth keeping. There’s some rust, and I’m concerned it might not hold up in an accident. Insurance and taxes feel like a waste if it’s not getting used. Here’s a picture of what it looks like now:
Thanks for posting! If you’re asking for advice, don’t forget to share details about the year, make, model, mileage, and any important info about the condition of the car. That’ll help people here give better advice.
Looking at the second and third pictures, I’d say it’s getting pretty rough. That rust might be more than cosmetic—it could be a safety issue.
Honestly, why pay for insurance and registration if you’re not using it? The rust looks like it might be a bigger problem later on.
My main concern would be safety. In a crash, the rusted areas might not hold up, which could be dangerous for whoever’s in the car.
If you’re not attached to it, sell it. Someone might be looking for a starter car and wouldn’t mind fixing it up.
From the looks of it, this car hasn’t been properly used in years. Might be better to let it go now before it gets worse.
