Right…re-read what I said. Unless there was a boat or swimmer within 500 feet of the plane, it was probably fine.
Looks like a privately owned Stearman 75 trainer with vintage USAF markings. It may have been flying low for a film or photo shoot.
You gotta get that low so the bundles of coke don’t break when they hit the water.
Was this in the US? If I remember correctly, the FAA has a 500-foot minimum for fixed-wing planes, so this plane might have been flying illegally.
But maybe it had special permission to fly low, like for a photo shoot or something.
Regardless, as a SUAS pilot…
