I’m all for bending rules sometimes, but this was too risky. Why not fly somewhere without traffic? At 120 km/h, even a 350-gram drone could cause a serious accident.

Exactly. I don’t care much about FAA rules when it’s just the pilot taking risks, but this was reckless. People like this are why the FAA keeps tightening drone laws.
