I think I have some sort of malware on my PC, and I’m really not sure what to do next. I’ve already run deep scans using Windows Security, and I even factory reset the PC. I’ve done everything I can think of, and I’ve come to the conclusion that unless this forum has any better ideas, I might have to buy a new hard disk. It really sucks, but it seems like that’s what I might have to do.

I would recommend doing a reinstall instead. I don’t see why you’d need to buy a new hard drive. A clean install can often fix these issues.
How do I go about doing a reinstall? Is it complicated?
Not at all. Just make sure you back up any important files first. Then you can use a USB drive with the Windows installer to do a clean install. There are plenty of guides online that can walk you through the steps.
Exactly. A clean install on your current HDD is a solid solution. There are plenty of posts explaining how to do a full clean install of Windows if you look around.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will look for those posts and see if I can get it done.
