Thinking about applying for I-131... is it worth it?

Hey everyone, I’m in the process of applying for my green card adjustment of status through my wife, who’s a US citizen. Right now, I’m on a Day1-CPT visa. I’ve been wondering if I should go ahead and apply for an I-131 for travel purposes. Any thoughts or experiences with this?

Definitely consider applying for I-131! It’s super helpful if you need to travel while your application is pending. I did it when I was in a similar situation.

Yeah, it can take a few months. Just make sure to apply before you travel! Otherwise, you risk messing up your green card application.

I was on Day1-CPT too! Applying for the I-131 was a lifesaver for me. It let me visit family without stressing about my status.

It took about 3 months for me. Worth the wait for peace of mind .

For sure! If you leave without it, they might say you abandoned your application. Better to play it safe.
