Hey all, I’ve been trying to add some art to my computer’s background, but I’m stuck trying to delete the preset images in the ‘Captured Motion’ files. I attempted to change ownership to myself from TrustedInstaller, but it still doesn’t work. Am I missing a step, or doing something wrong? Thanks in advance! Oh, and I have a Windows 11 laptop, sorry for not mentioning that earlier.
It sounds like you’re close! After changing ownership, make sure to also give yourself full control permissions on the files. Sometimes ownership alone isn’t enough.
You might also want to try deleting the files in Safe Mode. That can sometimes bypass permissions issues.
Have you tried using the command prompt? You can run it as an admin and use the command del to remove those files directly. Just be careful with the command you type!
If all else fails, you could try using a third-party uninstaller. Sometimes they can handle these permissions better than Windows itself.
