Hi, I’ve been considering upgrading my vehicle’s suspension and I’ve come across air bag suspension kits. I used to have a traditional coil spring setup on my old truck, but it didn’t quite handle the heavy loads I often carry. I’m curious if anyone here has switched to an air bag suspension kit and can share their experiences. How was the installation process? Did it improve the ride quality and load handling? Any particular brands you’d recommend or ones to avoid?
For me Bilsteins really improved the ride quality of my truck. I also had the Firestone ride rites fitted, which helped. Additionally, they come with a lifetime warranty. I had one leak and it cost nothing for the shop to repair it.
I had a truck bed that bottomed out all the time hauling mulch, no fun. I actually just switched to an air bag kit in the back and let me tell you, it’s a game changer! Super easy to adjust the air pressure depending on how much weight I’m carrying, and the ride is night and day smoother. If you’re looking into brands, I’ve heard good things about Air Lift, but maybe others can chime in on their experiences too
