I am new to guns and recently shot my first one, a Glock 45, at a shooting range. Now, I’m considering buying my own handgun. After browsing at a gun store, I am unsure what’s best. I was advised to check out CZ, Glock, or S&W, but I’m not sure which is actually good. I am looking for a reliable handgun that is easy to handle, has low recoil, and would be suitable for target practice and home defense. Any recommendations?
It’s great that you are responsibly acquiring guns! Because of its reduced recoil, the 9mm caliber is perfect for novices practicing target shooting. Take the Smith & Wesson M&P (customizable grip), CZ 75 (ergonomic), or Glock 19 (compact, similar to the 45). Put safety first. Enroll in a handgun course before making a purchase, and ask the instructor to choose a weapon that is appropriate for your hand size and strength.

The Smith & Wesson M&P9 or Glock 19 are reliable handguns for target practice and home protection, with controlled recoil and ease of handling.
