I have some woodchucks. What about you?
I have roaches, beetles, spiders, a lizard, and a snake.

Roaches? I’m really curious; why would someone keep them? A lot of people (me included) find them gross.

Not all roaches are the ones you think of. There are pest roaches, but there are also tropical roaches. People keep the tropical ones as pets or even as food for other animals like lizards or birds.

I keep dubia and hissers as feeders. I also have Simandoa Cave Roaches; they’re extinct in the wild. I’m working on breeding them.

What’s it like taking care of a snake? I’ve always wanted one.

I have a ball python, and they are amazing. Very chill and relaxing to have around. They live up to 20–40 years, and their care is straightforward; just feed them about once a week. If you do get one, I recommend adopting instead of buying from breeders. Breeders often focus on flashy colors, but there are lots of regular ones that need homes too.
@Tsuna
Snakes are pretty rare where I live. What do they eat? And don’t you worry about stepping on them? Or do you keep them in tanks?

They live in a terrarium, not loose on the floor; they could get lost or find a hiding spot you can’t reach. They usually eat mice, but you should get frozen, pre-killed mice to avoid the snake getting hurt.
@Tsuna
Wait… feed them mice? That’s a bit much for me. Are there any other options?

Unfortunately, no. Snakes can only digest whole prey. But there’s a food called ReptiLinks, which is like a meat sausage made for snakes. Some snakes, like king snakes, might eat it, but not all will. It’s a bit pricey and may not be available where you live.
@Tsuna
ReptiLinks sounds better than mice, but I’m still not sure snakes are even sold as pets here.

Yeah, it might be tough to find them where you are.
@Tsuna
Snakes usually live up to 20 years. Hitting 40 is pretty rare.

You’re right. Though, as care improves, we might see snakes living longer.

Totally agree, but 40 is still pretty uncommon.
I have sugar gliders.
Here’s my list:
Birds:
Three kinds of pheasants, two kinds of quails, rheas, guineas, peacocks, turkeys, and chickens.
Mammals:
Patagonian maras, dwarf goats, rabbits, cats, and dogs.
Other:
Sulcata tortoise and eastern hercules beetles.
Right now, I’ve got about 100 animals, but during bird breeding season, the number can double.
I have a ball python, a jumping spider, a rabbit, some isopods, and a gecko.
Degus and mice.
