Curious to hear about the weird foods people have tried… and if they’d try them a second time.
Tried French snails once. Not going back for seconds.
Fried scorpion. Different, but not my favorite.
Caviar… didn’t love it, but maybe I’ll try it again someday.
I had tuna that was left out in the sun for two days. It smelled awful, had maggots everywhere, and black liquid running all over. Never again.

Wow… is that considered a delicacy somewhere?
Fried grasshoppers. Crunchy but actually okay!
Fried crickets. Surprisingly tasty, I’d eat them again!
Fried tarantulas. They taste a lot like soft-shell crab. Would totally eat them again!
Salted pork that had to be boiled and rinsed a bunch of times… tasted like play-doh but worse.
Conch. I actually enjoyed it!
Balut… never doing that again, no way.
Balut. Tried it once… that was enough.
Crocodile. Not bad at all! I’d give it another try if I saw it on a menu.
I’ll try anything once or twice, but century egg… that sulfur taste? Not going back.
Huitlacoche, which is a corn fungus. It’s strange but actually not bad.
Had sea cucumber in a stir-fry at a seafood place. It was amazing, like rich bone marrow but not greasy. I’d definitely eat it again.
I’ll leave it at this: human meat. Don’t recommend.
