What things made you cry?

Just curious about the moments or experiences that have brought tears to your eyes.

My ex ghosted my kids about a month after moving out. I have them five days a week, and she was supposed to take them for a full weekend. They were really excited, and so was I. Friday afternoon, they were all packed and ready… then we waited… and waited…

Finally, we had dinner and got them in their pajamas, but nobody was answering the phone. I called my mother-in-law and some friends, but nobody knew anything. I got the kids calmed down and we watched a movie until they fell asleep. As soon as the last one was down, I went to the garage and cried like a baby. I had never seen them so heartbroken, and it crushed me. I remember this moment in my life whenever I make promises to my kids. I will never leave them feeling like that.

I can’t remember the last time I cried. I feel broken emotionally, always angry, and I really hate it.
