What's the deal with eShakti?

What’s happening with eShakti lately? Update: Thanks for sharing your experiences, everyone! Unfortunately, my delivery date has passed, and eShakti hasn’t responded to any of my communications. There have been no updates on my order since I placed it, which is really disappointing. They’re not even sending auto-reply emails, answering phones, or responding to voicemails.

This is quite disappointing because eShakti used to be a reliable source for beautiful custom dresses over the years. In short, it might not be a good idea to order from them right now.

I’ve been a customer of eShakti for over nine years with only a few minor issues that were quickly resolved. Recently, I decided to treat myself and ordered two new custom dresses after not ordering for two years. However, after doing some research online, it seems like things have taken a turn for the worse. I stumbled upon their Facebook page, which appears to be inactive. There are numerous reviews from very unhappy customers stating that their orders haven’t arrived after months, and eShakti is no longer responding to anyone.

I tried to cancel my order, but there was no response. My card has already been charged over $200 CAD, which is significant for my budget.

Upon further investigation, I found some information online. There was news of a garment factory fire in Noida, one of eShakti’s factory locations. I wonder if that’s related to their current issues. Additionally, I found an article mentioning that the founder of eShakti is launching a new business called “Eshaktib2b,” which appears to be a wholesale venture. There’s another website that looks identical but with a different name. So, what’s really going on? Has the original founder left or sold the company, leading to a decline in service? Is the new website a scam, or is the original eShakti now facing serious online security issues?

Has anyone recently had a positive experience with eShakti, or has it been consistently negative? Your insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, everyone.

I placed an order with them some time ago, and it took quite a while for the clothes to arrive. After several calls and emails, they finally came. Now, I’ve ordered another dress that I’m currently waiting for. I’m keeping an eye on its progress through the system, but I have to admit, it’s making me a bit anxious. I really hope it arrives soon. I’m starting to worry that they might face some challenges. Despite this, I really appreciate how well their clothes fit me.

Looks like we’re both in the waiting game then! It’s reassuring to hear that your dress is progressing through the system. Hopefully, that means you (and others too!) will receive our orders eventually.

Just wanted to update you, I checked this morning, and my dress has moved onto the next phase since yesterday, so things are finally moving along. I’ll keep you posted once I receive it. :slight_smile:

Can you initiate a chargeback through your credit card if your items don’t arrive? It’s unfortunate if they’re struggling, I’ve bought a few things from them a couple of years ago, and they were okay. Recently, though, I’ve seen comments about delays as well.

That’s a good point. If my dresses don’t arrive, I might have to look into initiating a chargeback. I’ve never done that before, so it didn’t occur to me.

Users on r/ffa have regularly reported numerous problems with eshakti for the previous four years or more. Although I haven’t personally heard anything else, I’ve been seeing those rumors for at least 2019 every few months. For that reason, I wouldn’t advise placing an order with them (I apologize if this doesn’t support your existing order). Can you take care of it using your credit card?)
